About

My approach is warm yet practical  and the post graduate diploma in career guidance assures you that I have the highest level of professional training and knowledge.

Hi, I'm Vanessa and I can honestly say that I have the best job!
I gain huge satisfaction in helping clients of all ages truly figure out what it is they want to do with their lives.

I've enjoyed great variety in my working life and this has included founding a successful multi-million turnover online retail company, working with students in university and secondary school settings (both state and independent), creating a textile brand and selling to stores such at Liberty and Selfridges and even crewing a sailing yacht across the South Pacific.  I have been involved in many community and fund raising events and invest time in various volunteering projects.

I am mum to three adult children who are all following different paths and whom I've watched face the stresses of school exams, university, choices and job hunting. All of these experiences, coupled with the best professional training in career guidance, help me to help you.

I am the careers consultant to sixth form students at The St Marylebone School in central London which is a state academy and here my role includes one to one appointments with all Year 12 students, application and personal statement help, CV and interview skills workshops, work experience preparation, employer visits and gap year help.
I participate in  a wide range of professional events which include industry insights, UCAS seminars, graduate careers conferences and the latest legislation. This all ensures that I have my finger on the pulse of career opportunities and choices.

I have many interests including yoga, zero waste and sustainability, hiking, art and fashion history and wandering around very old buildings.
